Solayna started climbing out of her crib, so on July 27th Brooke came home and got to work on taking down the crib and putting up the toddler bed. She was so excited about it, and actually does ok. She kept waking Shianne up and then having her come and get us for a while so we've talked to her about just coming to get me if she needs me, not to wake up Shianne. The poor little thing is having nightmares about the elk and deer Brooke shot 3 weeks ago.
Shianne decided she wanted to do a restaurant night. We kept telling Solayna we were going to have a blue party while the boys went somewhere, and so we ended up having a BBQ Blues restaurant. We had some BBQ chicken, french fries, and other options.
When the boys got home they started decorating the house and were very creative with their cute music B notes. We found some "blues" music on line and had so much fun.
We always give out fake money to help the kids learn money and they decided we each got 50 dollars. WHOOOO!!! I spent a ton. We also had banana boats. You wrap bananas in tin foil with marshmallows and chocolate chips, and then throw them on the BBQ. They were simply scrumptious. I was trying to hurry and BBQ the chicken the different ways they wanted and Brooke asked Shianne when it was going to be ready. Shianne came and asked me and I said, "You tell him he's not at a fast food joint." Brooke didn't have much to say after that;)
The kids also cute out cute blue stars to put all over our yellow table clothe. They love doing these nights and are always so creative with what they want to eat and how they decorate.
