For Valentines, I made the girls these matching "love" skirts as So-So calls them. I just used old tshirts and then sewed felt onto it. I also did Shianne's hair in a X O! I thought it was such a cute idea when I saw it on http://www.cutegirlshairstyles.com/category/valentines-day-dos/
Brooke and I made the boys each a necklace with red beads and juniper berries. Spencer loves necklaces and was so excited to get his.

heart hair
Solayna loved the idea of having hearts in her hair and I was so excited that she actually wanted me to do her hair. She looks so pretty having it pulled up and out of her face.
This is her, OK mom I'm trying to watch my show, get out of my way!

General Conference
I love the LDS General Conference where we get to sit and listen to our Prophet Thomas S. Monson and the apostles tell us the things our Heavenly Father wants us to know. We just did a FHE on monday about the Prophet and apostles and how we were going to be listening to them. We played the matching game on http://www.lds.org/general-conference/children?lang=eng The kids loved it and when they would get a match, we would talk about what that apostle like to do. I made some coloring sheets a few years ago, and my kids loved them, so we had them printed off and talked about each of them. If any of you would like a copy of these, let me know and I'll email them to you. I also found this awesome site http://chocolateonmycranium.blogspot.com/2009/09/general-conference-wall.html which has topics that you print off and put on your wall and then when a speaker talks about them you put up their picture. We will also be doing some of the things we do every year, which you can see here
I hope you are all able to enjoy conference and the amazing message and spirit you feel during it.

14 days of valentines
I found these books down at the thrift store. I love used books.
Shi informed that socks don't have "soles". I guess they are to smart, but they really needed new socks.
Our wii only came with one remote, so we bought this new remote and nunchuck so we can play against each other.
I can always "count" on you! Love your "cheesy" mom
I downloaded a bunch of free songs from Amazon and made them each a Cd. they loved them.
Brooke was in major need of a new mouse pad and I love how this one turned out with pictures of all the fun things he does with us.
These valentines always take some time and creativity, but my kids sure do love them. I spent more than I usually do, but I justified it by saying the kids needed them. Which most of the stuff that was expensive they did need.
silly girl and her dots
Solayna loves her 'dots' or her blanket. She is dragging the huge thing around everywhere and will just flop down on the tile if she is tired and has her dots. She is such a silly girl.
walking in mommy's shoes
Solayna came out of my room with my high heels on, and carrying two other pairs of high heels. She looked so adorable with her little skirt and leg warmers on.

Pocahontas and Paul Revere
Sam and Shianne had to do a presentation on someone in history. They had to dress up like them and then talk first person. It was so fun for me to watch them as they pretended to be someone else in history and give facts about them. They did a fantastic job.
Spencer's 7
I know I'm a little ok a lot behind, but for Spencer's birthday he wanted a balloon party. It was the easiest party and the kids had a ball. We shot a balloon with dart guns, tied balloons to ankles and had them try to pop each others balloons and then we blew up balloons and let them go to see who's would go the farthest. It was a fun day for Spencer.
His balloon cake.
My little man with his cake. I can't believe how grown up he is and I love his ENERGY!!! and every thing about this kid. He's such a tender, shy, out of control kid. He's so much fun.
I love the faces as he's getting ready to blow out his candles. Look at the anticipation on Sam's face also.
Spencer told me he REALLY wanted a homemade gift and I had about a week left so i was frantically searching for something to make him and then the thought came that my little fisherman would love a fishing vest. So I found a vest pattern on danamadeit.com and then added all the pockets and straps. You can't see it here but it also has a pocket across the back so he can put all his snacks in it.
He was so excited to get it, and put it on the other day when Brooke mentioned going fishing. I love you Spencer.
I Dance
The song they dance to is called, "I Dance" and when it says that she pops her head up with the biggest smile. I didn't ever get a decent picture of that smile, but we have it on video.
