Bowling

On January 14th we went to Cedar and went bowling.  It was so much fun and the kids loved it.  Solayna was so funny and any time it was my turn she would come up to help me.  I tried to get her to push it, but she wanted to kick it instead, so she would kick it and I would push it.
Sam spent a lot of time on the floor, just being amazed by the whole process.
I think Spencer had the camera here, but it shows the joy on Shi's face.  It looks to me like she's giving Sam a high five.

Shooting the target

My Beautiful Red Head

I wanted to take some better pictures of Shianne to hang on my wall so we ran down and took some.  She was such a great sport as it was FREEZING!!   I love these pictures of my red head.

The hat I got for Christmas is to big

Solayna found Brooke's face mask beanie and put it on along with Shi's snow boots.  It was so cute.

New Years Day

Brooke took the boys fishing at Fishlake on New Years Day.  It turned out to be quite a successful day for them.  I think they brought home about 8 fish, and released some of them.  As Sam was there he went over in the snow and wrote, "I Love U mom, Sam"  How sweet is that. My little man was even thinking of me as he was freezing and fishing.
Brooke was all ready to go, and was gutting the fish in the freezing cold water, and Spencer was saying he wanted to keep fishing.  Brooke told him to go ahead, but he was turning it back if he caught one, because he didn't want to gut another fish.  Well Spencer put his line down and "bam" got a hit.  He reeled this one in all by himself.  He was so excited.  I think it was like 3 lbs, and 25 inches. (Do you like the purple hat?  It's the warmest one we could find and Spencer doesn't mind as long as he's warm.)
Shianne, Solayna and I all stayed home.  I kept asking Shianne what she wanted to do, and we finally came up with the idea to paint their room.  Shianne wanted to keep it a surprise from the boys and was so excited to do this without her brothers knowing.  We put Solayna in her crib with a bean bag and her books.  She hung out there for like an hour, just reading her books.
My twinnos must have been on the same vib this day because Shianne wrote on her wall, "I love U mom"  It was so cute.  We had a great time listening to Shi's music and painting her room.  She loves it.
The finished product.  It looks so much better now, not so neon.

New Years Eve

For New Years Eve we had a party of our own here at the house.  We played some minute to win it games that ended up being quite funny.  We all had a great time doing our game and then playing a ping pong tournanment. Then we watch home videos of the past year.  It was a lot of fun and a tradition I would like to do every year.  The kids were so excited to stay up till 10:00!!  We let them stay up till we could watch the ball drop in New York.  My kids are always up by 6:30 no matter what time we put them to bed, so we only let them stay up till 10:00 and by that time they were all begging to go to bed anyways.
Sam had to see how many marshmallows he could string onto a string in one minute.
Brooke had to transfer M&M's from one cup to another using a straw.  The tricky part was that the straw was huge and the M&M's would actually go up the straw and get stuck.  It wasn't to fair to Brooke.
I got the BIGGEST kick out of Spencers.  I had a tablespoon of Peanut butter that he had to eat and then sing twinkle, twinkle little star.  The poor kid was about ready to puke.  I thought it was hilarious.
Shianne had a string attached to her waist with a canning ring on it, that she had to swing around and knock of the cans.  She tried and tried, but the ring wasn't really heavy enough to knock them off.
I had to transfer kidney beans from one cup to another using chop sticks.  It was harder than I thought it would be since the beans were so hard and slippery.
Solayna had to see how many marshmallows she could eat with out using her hands.  She loved it at first....
Then she about choked and I kicked myself in the rear for even having her do it.  My mom knew a kid that died because he choked on a marshmallow.
The kids loved playing ping-pong, even though it was super hard for them.
Brooke of course involved Solayna and she loved it.
We had to end the game since our little monkey would not stay off the table.
That night we also got to go outside and see the light parade that a couple here in town make.  It was so awesome and fun to step out our front door and see.  We had such a great night together playing games and enjoying one anothers company.

A few of her Favorite things

Solayna loves the phone and always picks it up and says "hi dad"  It's so cute.  She's always in the toothbrush drawer trying to get out the toothbrushes.  She loves to feel them vibrate her teeth.  Shianne the other day said, "Solayna, You have got to have the cleanest teeth any 1 year old has"

Kids with the Camera

4 wheeler sledding

We got a little bit of snow and the kids were so excited and wanted to go sledding so Brooke pulled out the 4-wheeler and pulled them up and down the road that is on our property.  IT was perfect for them.
We found a little ramp that the kids loved going off of.  It was so funny to watch their faces as they flew through the air.
The kids had to go back out even as it was getting dark and FREEZING!!  Brooke was a good sport and took them.  They all loved it.
Cocoa was chasing the kids as they were turning and he knocked them over.  It was funny.  (at least to me, but not to Shianne.)
