Homemade fleece pjs

When we got home christmas eve, we opened a pair of pj's.  The kids only had one request of me this year and that was new fleece jamies that I made.  I asked if they couldn't just be new pj's I bought, and they all said, "no, you have to make them out of fleece."  They each love them so much, and wear them every night.  Spencer says they are his favorite thing he got for Christmas.

I did a little more for Solayna since I bought the same amount of material for her as I did for Shi.  So she got a blanket for her, and blanket for her baby, and a matching jammie outfit for her baby.  She loves her "pink petes'.
I found the just right material for each of them.  Spencer has always been my little monkey, and his favorite colors are yellow and brown, so I was excited when I found his monkey material.  Solayna loves her cat Pete and when I saw pink material with black cats on them I knew I had to get them for her.  Sam's Favorite color is green and he loves being out in the woods hunting.  Shianne is just full of spunk, and she looks so dang cute in black.  I was so excited when I saw her material that has peace signs all over it.
The kids reaction to their pjs made it so worth it to me to sew for a day to make them all their homemade fleece pjs.

Sledding a t Clay Hills

We found this awesome place to go sledding and the kids loved it.  I think Brooke is the biggest kid, and I'm the biggest wimp.  Brooke and I went down the "mini" hill and I about freaked out, holding my breath the whole time down and then wouldn't you know we crashed at the bottom.  I got up in tears.  I was petrified.  Poor Brooke was having such a great time and when he saw my tears was so suprised.  I  don't really like sledding that much, but Brooke and the kids sure do love it.

The boys hiked up this huge hill to go down, but the snow was so deep they couldn't make a path through it.  Sam said, 'So you mean I wasted all that energy for NOTHING!"
Right after that Brooke and Spencer decided to go down this HUGE hill.  It made me physically ill just to watch them, but they were screaming the whole time having a great time.  One time Spencer's hat bounced off his head, landed on his head and then bounced completely off his head.  He was just laughing the whole time.
Solayna fell alseep in the car, and when she woke up she was freezing so I just sat in the truck and held her for a while.

Making donuts for the neighbors

Brooke's family always had a tradition of passing out donuts for Christmas, so we've tried to carry it out.  This year was so much fun, because the kids were big enough to help us.  Brooke was in charge of frying them, Shianne would bring him donuts to cook, and then take the cooked ones to Sam, Spencer and Solayna to dip in the glaze.  I think my official job was to take pictures and supervise.  I was also in charge of getting the right amount of donuts on each plate and then putting their names on it.  I think we made like 100 donuts or more.  We had such a great time making them together and then passing them out to all our friends.
