Shoot Ponies

s
Solayna loves to play ponies and Sam wanted to play guns, so they compromised and shot ponies.  Solayna even made some great shots.   They played this for like a half hour, and even then I made them stop to get ready for bed.  they had such a great time.  Shianne was disgusted that they would shoot her ponies and wanted nothing to do with it, but Solayna thought it was awesome.

We love you Dad

f
Brooke just got put in as the Young Mens President in our church, and as you can imagine was feeling VERY overwhelmed.  He went to a planning meeting on Sunday, and the kids and I wanted to show him how much we love him and how great we think he is.  The kids were so excited to give him a "heart attack" on his closet door.  They would write things on the hearts just as fast as I could cut them out.  Sam says, "this is easy, because Dad does so much with us"  They did a lot about "playing basketball," Rainmaker" "shooting hoops," "reading books" .  After they had finished and we were hanging them up, I told them, "you know what all of these come down to.  Dad spends a ton of time with you guys,"  They all agreed.
The kids then figured out a puppet show for their dad.  They had stuffed animals for our whole family, and when dad got home from work and was tired and they all overwhelmed him with ,"dad, can you play soccer with me?" Dad, will you play with me?" Dad, Dad"  It was so cute.  Of course the dad played with them, because that's what Brooke does.  We love you Brooke and know you will do great in your new calling.

Curly girls

On Sunday  I used a curling iron on Solayna's hair for the first time.  She held pretty still for me, at least I didn't burn her, and I thought it turned out adorable.

Last Saturday I wanted to put Shianne's hair in curlers, but couldn't find my curlers.  We decided to do pin curls, which turned out to be easy and they were beautiful.  She liked sleeping on those a lot better than the other curlers.   She wanted to wear some jewlery so I found her necklace that she got a few years ago, and let her wear my hoops.  She looked so grown up I wanted to cry.  She was so excited, but as soon as we got home she promptly took them out.  They aren't very fitting for an active girl.

March Madness=laundry folding

Brooke can't stand to just sit and watch tv, so when it comes to March Madness I pile up the laundry and he folds it all.  It's been fantastic to have him fold all my laundry.

My Girls

It was Shianne's night to cook, so while she was cooking Hamburger for her spaghetti sauce, she went and got her book.  She loves to read and once she starts a book, she can't stand to put it down.  She's to much like her mom.

My sweet little thing that is growing up to fast.  Her favorite thing to play with now is 'Ponies' and she's always saying, "play me"

They asked me to take pictures of all the Jr. jazz teams here, so I went down early to check out the lighting situation.I made Spencer and Solayna pose for me.

Our Team!  They are a great group of kids.

After we did pictures and games, they had the 3rd and 4th graders play their parents in a game.  The parents had to wear oven mitts.  This is sister and her son.  It was a lot of fun to watch the kids interact with their parents.
