First Day of School

Sam and Shianne were so excited for school this year.  Their teacher is a fantastic teacher, and they were so excited to be with her.  Spencer on the other hand was extremely nervous.  He wasn't to sure about going to school all day.  The cute little things says, "Mom, what am I going to do?  I'm not going to see you all day!"  I said, "I know buddy I'm going to miss you too."  He's always been my little sidekick and I struggled with the thought of him being gone all day.  He's such a fun, sincere kid.

 Sam and Shianne didn't want anything to do with me when we got to the school so I didn't get any good pictures of them in their classroom, but Spencer didn't want me to leave.  The 2nd graders were in his class also and it made him a little nervous.

 Solayna got up and got her backpack ready too.  She put on her school clothes and was good to go for the day.  She's such a funny thing.  The kids kept telling her she was going to mommy school.

 Spencer and his teacher Mrs. Dunn.  He enjoys school now, but those first couple of days he would wake up and say, "I HATE school!!  I'm not going!"  Luckily he's adjusted and is doing great now.

Back to school

 

The night before school starts we always have a back to school night and do pedicures and manicures.  The kids love it and must love the movie we let them watch to.  They were so excited for school to start and to see their friends.

Last trip to the Reservoir

We decided to take one last trip to the Reservoir before school started.  The kids have truly enjoyed going out there and playing with their friends and in the water.  I love this picture of my two girls

 They would find these rocks out in the water and pretend they could see things inside them.  I believe they called them their moon rocks.  They have such great imaginations.

I'm so grateful for our reservoir and the entertainment it gave us this year.  Next year we are going to be out there all summer long. 

Picking plums

Our plum trees started getting ripe so we went out and picked them. While we were all out picking I came in the house to find these two completely absorbed in there books.  OK I love that they love to read, but really sometimes I just feel like HIDING every book in the house so they will help me.   I love my little book worms.

 These plums are the BEST plums.  Just like eating candy.  I love them, and I don't like plums.  Spencer obviously loves them too.

my little SO-SO

Solayna is so much fun and is talking up a storm now a days.  She loves to pull funny faces and is so expressive with her body language.  I love to watch her and listen to her tell her stories.  I love you Solayna.

My Sweet Pea

 Spencer is such a fun cute boy.  He is always calling me his "sweet pea" and has something sweet to say to me.  The other day I was getting after him about something and he says, "Why cause your cute?"  He definitely knows how to work his mother.  I love you Spencer
