For new years eve, we popped balloons every hour to see what activities we would do next.  We started out with an arcade of playing pingpong, foosball, and basketball.  Then we watched home videos and had homemade ice cream.  It was fantastic to watch the things we have done this year even though I need to record a lot more in the future.  Then we played the wii.  Solana told me at 9:00 that she just didn't think.she was going to make it.  At 9:30 she was sound asleep on the couch.  We all only made it till 100:00.  Happy New Year!!!

We went to  the  reservoir to play on the ice.  The boys loved sliding in their cowboy boots and have a few good bruises to prove it.  Shianne was laughing at everyone that fell and somehow made it without falling once.  Solayna on the other hand fell multiple times and held onto my hand for most of the time.  It was a gorgeous day out on the ice with my family.

Shianne  and Solayna have been working on putting a couple of dances together. So after our basketball game, which Spencer and Brooke 1, for the live entertainment of our girls on stage.

Shooting shotguns

The boys got a new shotgun for Christmas and love to go shooting clay pidgeons. Spencer has been hunting ducks and geese with his dad n. Percy on the other hand hates to go hunting because of the shotgun and then loud noise so I put the ear protection on him

Brooke and Spencer have been spending quality time together siding the house.  It books so much better out there now

Sam was one tired boy today.  He layed down by piper and tried to go to sleep even though the rest of us were being incredibly loud.  Poor kid

Now that another year has passed, set another goal to post everyday on my blog just a 5-minute and cheerful happened that day. I am using my Google speech, so if some of it doesn't make sense blame Google.

Yesterday we had a day of just being at home. Spencer got a survival book for Christmas and my voice o and my boys have really gotten into trapping and setting snares.  The learned how to tie a bowline knot and tied a rock to a slip not and set it out with some bait.  That are hopping to catch a bird.  They also went down the wash on the 4-wheeler and set a live catch trap for a raccoon.  They are so excited about it.

Solayna has really been into doing tumbling and does round offs all day long.  Shianne has been so good with her and they turned up the music and made up a dance and did round offs over top of Solayna's tube thing.  Or should i day solayna did round offs over it.  Shi was trying so hard to do one, but just couldn't.  Sje did improve by the end of the day though:-) They also were trying to train the dogs to go through the tube.  Piper loved it but Percy wouldn't go through. 

Brooke was sidi our house most of the day, when he wasn't taking Spencer hunting coyotes or helping the boys with their traps.  I bottled 14 quarts of pinto beans, a:-) and just enjoyed being here with no where to go:-) 

Sweet toothless Spencer

Spencer had an abscessed to tooth and he had to get put on antibiotics because it was so infected. he kept complaining about a canker in his mouth and after a couple of days I looked at it and it was swollen up as big as my thumb. we took him in to the dentist and got him on antibiotics but the dentist wouldn't touch it it was so infected. that night it was so swollen it popped and we were able to get some of the infection out. my poor little buddy Spence was so tough but he was squeezing my hand and Brooklyn pushing on his infected tooth.  We could get into the dentist a couple of other times but the dentist just kept telling us to work on it to get it out. about a month later it still wouldn't come out and it just would not get loose and it started getting infected again. Brooke call the dentist and got Spencer and again they ended up pulling two of his baby teeth so they weren't sure which was causing the problems and they were both a little bit loose. the roots on those teeth were so long no wonder we couldn't get them out.  That night spencer put them under his pillow, and the next morning Brooke and I ended up with a 5 dollar bill with a note under our pillow. the note said for mom and dad for my tooth. we called him in that morning and ask him what it was about. He looked at us and smiled.  We gave him a big hug. He's such a sweet little thing

I have set a new goal to update this blog at least once a week but hopefully everyday.  we had a fantastic Christmaswith the highlight being our homemade gifts as usual.brooke made Spencer an awesome crossbow marshmallows shooter, I made Solayna a treasure box, Sam made Brooke a gun holder, shianne made me a bread box, Spencer made Sam a bow, and Solayna made Shianne a lap desk.
