Brooke's brother Dave called him and said he was going to Lake Powell fishing for stripers and wanted to know if Brooke wanted to come. Brooke of course said, yes and I'll bring Spencer. So he took Spencer out of School and they went down to Lake Powell. They were in the boat for 8 hours and Spencer didn't complain once. Actually he said, "that was the best day of my life" He was pulling in 6lb stripers constantly. All together they pulled in 66 fish. They had so much fun. Thanks Dave for taking them with you.

March Madness
After my presentation on Family Home Evening for Relief Society I came home and the boys had set up a table in our front room so they could eat and watch March Madness. They are so funny during the month of March. It's a good thing it only last one month or they might be having some serious Mom Madness going on.

Welcome to the Theater
I had to give a presentation for a Relief Society thing and the lady in charge told me to bring home her projector and make sure it worked, so we made sure it worked right by having a movie party in our new room. The kids loved watching it on the "big screen" and having popcorn.
Honorary Reader
Spencer's class has an Honorary reader come in every Friday, and Brooke loves being able to go in and read to the class. This time he read "Froggy Rides a Bike" and brought in his bike and showed them different parts of the bike. Solayna also came in with her bike and they talked about bike safety and how we need to wear a helmet. The kids all loved it. Brooke does such a great job with them.
Pac Meeting flying kites
In March for pack meeting we went to the school and flew kites. The wind wasn't blowing very much, but the boys made it work. Shianne had a great time trying to catch the tails of the kites when they would come down. Brooke was trying to keep Solayna entertained by throwing her in the air. It was a gorgeous day and the boys loved flying their kites.
Riding to school
Since Solayna can ride her bike without training wheels I let her ride down to the school to pick up the kids. I was so worried about her crashing I kept holding onto her shirt. She said, Mom I'm fine. I won't crash." I finally was a brave mom and let go of her shirt. She did fantastic and rode all the way down and half the way back up.
Texting on her IPad
Solayna was in her room being really quite so I went in to find out what she was doing and she had our calculator and told me, "I'm texting on my IPad." I didn't even know she knew what an IPad was, but apparently she does. She's getting so grown up it makes me sick.
shake it up baby!
We told the kids they would get shakes if they performed good at the piano festival. They all did fantastic so they all got a great big oreo shake. The said they were the BEST shakes they have ever had.

Bowling with Grandma Gay
Brooke's mom took the kids all bowling after the festival. It was so nice to be able to go do some shopping while she had the kids. They had a great time. Thanks a bunch, Gay.
Piano Festival
Every year, Sam, Shianne, and Spencer go to a Piano Festival in Cedar City. They work all winter on 2 songs, which they have to have memorized, then get all dressed up and go to Cedar City to play. We had a specific room for all of them, and had to wait so I got some pictures. The kids weren't very excited about the pictures, but they sure are cute kids. Even Solayna thought she needed to get dressed up. My poor buddy Spencer was SOOOOO scared of having to get up in front of everyone and say his name and what songs he was going to play. He did a great job though, and even though we had worked on him bowing afterwards, he got up and looked at his dad and rolled his eyes instead. We laughed and just shook our head. They all got Superiors and did a great job playing. We also got o join up with their cousins and one of them was actually playing in the same room and Sam and Shi so it was great to hear them play.
NO Training wheels
On March 7th, Brooke kept telling me he was going to take off Solayna's training wheels and teach her to ride her bike. I told him there was no way she was going to be able to do it. He told me to have a little faith and watch. Sure enough, she took off the first time, even on our sandy road. She was so excited to be able to ride it just like Sam, Shianne, and Spencer. What a sweet thing. She also wanted a new helmet, because the only one we had that is her size was a spiderman one. So I pulled out the silver spray paint and my puffy glue that is bright colors and TADAAA she has a new helmet. Was a sweet girl who is growing up way to fast.
YUMMY
As I was going through my pictures I saw these and thought, She must by devouring cookie dough, but then I remembered that I won't let her eat cookie dough. So I was racking my brain to figure out what she was eating and it hit me. FLOUR!!! She's always been my flour girl, but good grief she STILL loves it. Just plain flour she spilled while making English Muffins. What a funny thing.
