Zootopia

While Brooke was working long days doing his BAER assignment on a fire the kids and I went to a movie theater to ZOOTOPIA.  Before we went shi said she wanted the WHOLE theater to ourselves.   I told her nor to get her hopes up.   When we got in there,  lo and behold, we had the whole theater to ourselves.   

Sam found a poster that said Samuel Jackson, which is what his friends used to call him in school.     He then ran into a big glass wall on the way out.  ;)

We had a fun time watching a cute show.

Brooke took Spencer Sam and so with him to Otter Creek to meet up with his brother Dave and his boys. The kids were so excited to go catch crawdads and Spencer wants to catch a six pound brown trout. Cheyenne and I decided to stay home so I can go into the school I get my classroom ready in the morning so I don't have to worry about it anymore. As I am laying here at 11:15 at night I almost think I would rather be in the back of a truck with rain pouring down on me as long as I have Brooke by my side. I hate it when he's not here.

Cedar city park

We went to see her with Brooke and played at the park. There are trees there are there hanging over the fence and one had apricots on it that we're just getting ripe.  Sam picked some apricots and Shianne Spencer in Solayna all love them

Reservoir with friends

The kids wanted to go out to the reservoir of some friends so we invited out of adaline Kannapolis and ranse Cottam out  with us. They rode their kayak clear out to the middle of the reservoir and they kept jumping out of the kayak. Spencer and only ended up leaving Solayna and Adeline out there with just their life jackets on. By the time he got back in I was about ready to hurt someone and told Sam to get in the kayake and go out there and get them. SSam went  out and pick them up and got the tube. They all came in and played King of the kayak and had a blast pushing each other around.

Reading

Spencer and Solayna were reading books and for some reason decided to pull a bunch of books off of the bookshelf. They sat there and read books together for about an hour

Kayake and padlle boarding

Jeff and Tia came up to visit us and brought their kayak  and paddle board .  We went out to Wide Hollow and the kids loved playing on Jeff toys .  Jeff and Tia fished  and then came back and had dinner with us . 

Shi's fish

We went out to the reservoir and the kids were playing in their kayaks , whike Brooke was fishing. They all came in to switch around who was in what kayak and for some reason Shianne actually picked up a fishing pole. She kept saying she was getting a bite but couldn't quite hook up. Brooke could tell he was getting a bite so he hooked it and let her finish reeling  it in. It ended up being a really nice Bass and she was so excited as she was reelling it in and when she got it out of the water. She fished for the rest of the night and I think she actually caught more fish than Spencer. Shianne has always said that she hates fishing and will never marry a fisherman but after tonight she said she might marry a fisherman as long as he lets her role in the big ones.

She and Spencer went out on the kayak and would fish and when they would catch one they would throw it @sam who was on the banana boat. Sam would squeal and try to get away from it and in the process would tip over the banana boat. It was pretty funny to watch the three of them out on the kayaks

Solayna has been looking at blog books and she must of saw when she got flour all over her face when she was 3 because she decided to do it again

Homemade tortillas

We love homemade tortillas and when everybody helps it's not so hard to make them.

Solayna's piano

Solayna has just started practicing the piano, and is getting pretty frustrated with learning her notes, keeping your fingers in the air, and playing the right keys .  After about 10 minutes on the piano  she looks at me and says " the struggle is real."
