Cat and mouse

 

The other day I looked out our door and Pete our cat had this mouse.  He must of injured it, because it wasn't running away, but it was almost like they were in a game.  It was so interesting to watch.

Jr. Jazz

Brooke and I coached Jr. jazz this year.  Sam and Shianne were on our team and since we coached and we didn't have enough players to scrimmage, Spencer played also.  We had a ton of fun with the kids and it was so fun to watch them in their games.  The first game we played the kids just fell apart, only making like 4 points and losing by like 20.  The second game they must have got their jitters out because we led the whole game until the very end and they ended up winning by like 4 points.  The kids were so excited that they had at least led for a little while.

Dino tracks

On March 24th we went out to the Dinosaur tracks, which are tracks that you can see in the sandstones.  I was expecting a deep imprint, but they weren't like that at all and if you didn't know what you were looking for I'm sure you wouldn't have ever seen them.  I was so glad Brooke had been there before and was able to point them out.  It was amazing to see them and to sometimes see a path that the dino took.  There where a could of different kinds of dinosaurs there.

 My poor little buddy Sam just wasn't feeling very well this day and would hike for a few minutes and then just lay down on the sandstone.  Poor little guy.  He didn't do much complaining but we knew he didn't feel good.

 Cocoa was sure excited to find this hole with water.  He was pretty thirsty and hot.  He layed down in it for a second and that was about all he could handle.

 Brooke, Spencer and Shianne slid down this steep rock.  It made me sick to watch them.

It was such a fun day, hiking around down on the sandstone and seeing the dino tracks.  It's amazing to think of dinos tromping around right here where we live.

St. Patty's day

 

The kids always love holidays and changing up the meal to go with the holiday.  This St. Patty's day we had green juice, green mashed potatoes, and some irish soda bread with a shamrock on it.

Fishing

 

Brooke took Spencer fishing with the Scouts over to Fish Lake.  They didn't catch many, but my little fisherman Spencer out fished everyone there.  All the boys kept saying that he was a great fisherman.  They had a great time.

Gifts, Gifts and more Gifts

While my parents were in Vanuatu they bought us all sorts of amazing souvieners.  They gave each of us girls a lei.  they had recieved so many on their mission that they only had to buy a couple to get each of us one.  That's a lot of leis.

 They also got these awesome bowls made out of coconuts that have amazing designs etched in them

 All the grandkids were so anxious of what they were going to get next.  We all got spoiled with necklaces, dolls, french knifes, sail boats, purses, backpacks, wraps and so much more.  Thanks mom and dad

 Solayna and Shianne both got these little Pickinnis.  They are the most adorable dolls and they love them.

I had my friend Arina draw this picture for my parents.  I had to post the video of them opening it.  Thank you so much Arina.  As you can tell they love it.  (don't mind the zoom in of me at the end, that would be my husband recording)

Grandma and Grandpa are home

My Parents have been serving a LDS mission for the last 18 months in Vanuatu and on March 1st the flew into St. George.   I'm so glad we were able to be there when they flew in.  On the way to the airport my kids were so excited and my boys were in the back talking about when they go on their mission how it's going to be.  I was an amazing to experiance to sit at the airport with my family in anticipation of my parents coming home.  The kids were all gathered around the windows for about 10 ,minutes just waiting for the plane to land.

 The plane has landed!!!!

 Waiting with their signs.  My parents got off of the plane and came and stood about 20 feet from where we were but they couldn't see us.  All of my nieces and nephews were screaming, but they couldn't hear us either and weren't sure where to go.  My older nieces started pounding on the glass and my mom looked up and her face said it all.  The smile was HUGE when she saw us all.

 I hate that this picture is blurry, but I had to put it because of that smile and excitement on my mom's face.I think she missed us a little.

I'm so glad that my parents are home safe and I'm expecially grateful for their mission.The people of Vanuatu didn't have much when it comes to wordly things, but they had what makes them happy.  They appreciated the gospel so much and sometimes would walk for hours to just go to their meetings.  What examples. 

Brooke brought home 4 baby chicks and the kids were so excited.  Solayna would sit at the box for hours watching them.  She loved talking to her dad about them and I loved watching her face.
