Gymnastics

Solayna has really been into doing gymnastics lately . She loves doing cartwheels and round offs and the other day I came home and she said mom watch this . She proceeded to show me her one arm cartwheel . I couldn't believe it. It actually scared me to death.  She has been watching how to do back walk overs and front walk overs. She been working on her back bends and climbing up the wall with her hands.  She is pretty determined to be able to do a back handspring.  She loves to watch Gaby Douglas and any other gymnastic girls do their floor routine, and is amazed at how they can twist while they are in the air and determined to learn how.  She trying to figure out a way that she can have enough money to buy a hundred dollar mat so she can just do her stuff here at the house.  I brought in an old mattress and she does her front walk overs on it, since she knocked the breath out of herself twice before that.  She has found something she loves and is consumed with it right now, even doing it till she gets hurt. Last night she had to have a rice pack on her leg to go to sleep, and then woke up at midnight and had me reheat it because her leg was hurting, but she was back to doing her cartwheels today.
