One June 13th we noticed all our cherries were ripe and since all the birds were trying to get to them before we could I hung up some tin foil to try and scare them away. I think it worked for a little while, but they started to realize it was just paper. Next year I'm going to cover the whole tree with it. It's got to work right. Dang birds.
The kids really wanted a cherry pie, so we made one for our cooking day. They loved it. It was first time I have ever made a lattice pie, so it was fun and scrumptious.
